Located in the Hood River Valley, The Gorge White House was built in 1910 and located on 50 acres. Colonial Dutch architecture can be seen throughout the house design with multiple balconies and a sun porch. Along with the house the grounds include a 30+ acre orchard that is used for their cider production, a pick your own strawberry farm, a pick your own flower garden, a quick service restaurant and outdoor seating.

While at The Gorge White House you will be able to get breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape which includes gorgeous views of Mount Hood in Oregon and Mount St. Helens in Washington. Both can be seen from almost the same spot in the middle of the property.

You are welcome to get a full flight of wines which includes all the wines they produce or purchase a single tasting for $2 each which is the route we chose. Our tasting included the Chardonnay, Red Blend and Pinot Noir. Our favorite was the Pinot Noir which had notes of cherry, pomegranate baking spice and toasted oak. We would recommend going after the ciders here as their lavender honey and cascade hopes ciders are some of the bests we have had.
