A great vintage from a great producer! This 2016 Chevalier showed clear deep ruby in color with medium plus intensity and notes of forest floor, soil, clove, nutmeg, chocolate covered black raspberry, and subtle blackberry on the finish. This wine is dry with high acidity, high silky tannins, full body, high alcohol, and a medium plus finish. 94/100
