Description
One of my favorite Bordeaux vintages, the 2009 often gets overshadowed by the 2000, 2005, and 2010 but in my opinion is the same caliber if not better. This 2009 Margaux shows clear deep ruby in color with medium plus intensity and notes of crushed tart blackberry, dried violet, clay soil, leather, potpourri, black cherry, dried fig, and forest floor. This wine is dry with a really strong structure, medium plus tannins, high acidity, full body, high alcohol, and a long finish. 98/100
