Justin is one of the most popular if not the most popular wineries in all of Paso Robles. Well known for its Cabernet Sauvignon and Isosceles wines, Justin has gained almost a cult following. First planted in 1981, Justin continues to push its Bordeaux style wines. The combination of fossilized limestone and diurnal shifts, this parcel is ideal for big bold Cabernet Sauvignon.

Getting to the winery is a bit of a journey that takes you from Paso Robles almost 20 miles into the mountain range to the west. As you drive along Chimney Rock Road you will wind through the mountains and eventually make your way to the vineyard and winery. After turning into the parking lot you will see the well maintained and well landscaped winery and vineyard. The tasting building located at the end of the parking lot is a gorgeous white with a dark gray roof. It includes the Just Inn, the wine shop and tasting room.

Our tasting took place at the bar in the tasting room and consisted of four different wines; Savant, Reserve Malbec, Justification and Isosceles of which the Isosceles was our favorite. Bosting a fruit forward attitude with notes of black cherry, black currant, and cedar. This wine is extremely smooth and easy drinking. A full bodied blend with medium plus acidity and high tannins.
